Molten Apple Cake

Easy, fast and tasty: soft, creamy apple slices, coated with a juicy dough. This recipe will have both you and your guests in raptures.

Molten Apple Cake


2 eggs
150 g caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
30 g + 1 tbsp vegetable margarine, melted
75 g Dream Rice-Almond-Hazelnut
150 g flour
1 pouch baking powder
60 g ground almonds
1 kg apples (Belle de Boskoop, Jonagold, Elstar, …), peeled and cored

2 tbsp apple jelly
2 tbsp water

1. Crack the eggs in the bowl of a food processor and then add the sugar. Put the lid on and process until smooth and creamy. Add the melted margarine and vegetable drink. Set aside. Combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and almond powder) . Combine the dry ingredients with the liquid ones. Process until you have a soft dough.

2. Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Cut the apples into thin slices and fold them into the dough.

3. Pour the mixture into a buttered rectangular cake dish (29 cm x 4 cm). Bake 35 minutes. Warm up the jelly with water. Brush this mixture on the surface of the cake.
